Copyright Infringement - Fines and Penalties:
All Work produced by Squirrel Studios, including designs, images, written content, and other materials (hereafter referred to as "Works"), is protected under U.S. federal copyright law. These Works are independently created and fixed in a tangible medium (e.g., recorded on a computer file, camera file, other digital files, or physical documents, and are the sole property of Squirrel Studios, owned by Erika Powers.
Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of my intellectual property is strictly prohibited and constitutes copyright infringement, which is illegal and punishable by law. Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable laws, violators may face substantial fines and legal penalties, including potential imprisonment.
Copyright protection extends to all content shared through my website, social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), emails, text messages, and other forms of communication. Intellectual property Theft or misuse may lead to legal action, and I reserve the right to prosecute individuals or entities found guilty of infringement.

Legal Rights of Copyright Holders:
As the copyright holder, I retain the exclusive rights to reproduce, distribute, and create derivative works from the original content. Copyright protection remains in place for the author's life plus 70 years, ensuring long-term ownership and control over the material.
Plagiarism:
Plagiarism, the act of presenting someone else's work as your own, violates intellectual property rights. Rearranging or rewording my content without permission is still considered plagiarism. While it may not always be a criminal offense, individuals who plagiarize are subject to being sued for fraud or copyright infringement. They can be subject to civil lawsuits and penalties, including recovering profits from the plagiarized material.

Transfer of Copyright Ownership to Clients:
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin any project. Ownership of the final Work is transferred to the client upon full payment and final sign-off. Once payment is completed, the work will be yours to use.
However, Squirrel Studios retains the right to showcase the completed Work in its portfolio, website, or other promotional materials. This allows me to demonstrate the quality and scope of my services to potential clients.
